Find DealerScout.ai in your toolbar
After installing, DealerScout.ai should appear in your Chrome toolbar. Here's how to make sure it's visible:

You're all set — skip to Step 2. DealerScout.ai is ready to go.
If you don't see it, here's how to pin it:
Option A — Extensions menu (puzzle piece icon)
Look for a puzzle piece icon near the top-right of Chrome, next to the address bar.
Click it to open the extensions menu, then find DealerScout.ai.
Click the pin icon next to it. The icon will appear in your toolbar.
Option B — Chrome menu (no puzzle piece visible)
Click the three-dot menu in Chrome's top-right corner.
Go to Extensions → Manage Extensions.
Find DealerScout.ai and make sure it's toggled on.
Go back to any page — the icon should now appear in your toolbar. If not, right-click the toolbar area and check "Show DealerScout.ai".

Sign in to activate your free trial
DealerScout.ai includes a 7-day free trial with full access — no credit card needed.
Click the icon in your toolbar (or visit this site).
Click "Sign In" and use your Google account.
The extension will detect your session automatically — no API keys or tokens to copy.
Browse vehicles and watch the magic happen
Head to Facebook Marketplace vehicles and DealerScout.ai will activate automatically.
Auto-Activates
DealerScout.ai detects when you're on vehicle listings and activates its overlay panel automatically.
AI Classification
Each listing gets a color-coded badge: green for private sellers, yellow for uncertain, red for likely dealers.
Deep Analysis
Click any listing to see a detailed scorecard — seller history, inventory count, and confidence breakdown.
Quick Tips
DealerScout.ai only runs on Facebook Marketplace — it won't interfere with the rest of your browsing.
On non-vehicle marketplace pages, look for the green DealerScout.ai pill at the bottom-left — it links you straight to vehicles.
The toolbar badge shows how many listings have been scanned in your current session.
The extension works as a Facebook SPA — no page reloads needed. Navigate freely and DealerScout.ai follows along.
Your privacy matters
Chrome's install dialog mentions "facebook.com" because the extension runs on Marketplace pages hosted there. DealerScout.ai only activates on Facebook Marketplace— it can't see or change your messages, profile, photos, friends list, or any personal Facebook data. All analysis happens on public listing information that's already visible on the page. Read our privacy policy for full details.
